Boarding

Boarders get the full daycare experience! We play outside twice a day and go for a potty break/short walk every 3 hrs! Free play indoors, middy lunch and snack times, and plenty of snooze breaks. Always supervised by fully trained staff and gated to separate large and small dogs as needed. 

For overnight Boarding the ONLY thing we need is enough food/meds/supplements for their stay. We have plenty of beds, bowls, toys, and treats! 

Personal belongings cause issues with our group philosophy as some pups get territorial over their own stuff from home or it may get damaged. We also have extra leashes to use for transporting.

We try our best to take photos and videos daily, however we tend to be busy caring for the pups around the clock and will reach out mainly in case of an emergency. You are welcome to check in for updates at anytime and follow us on our Instagram and Facebook stories! @furbabiespotomac

Credit card should be saved on file, Your payment method will be charged as soon as you check-in. Please text us any schedule changes and additional grooming services which can still be added later. 

We are home-based and have 2 acres all for the dogs! There’s nothing like watching dogs just be dogs. Off-lead time builds confidence, freedom, and trust- it’s where real balance starts!

Dogs thrive on consistency and familiarity, so being away from home can cause temporary stress. Common signs include pacing, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or extra clinginess when reunited with their owner. 

Our team takes extra care with first-timers — offering gentle reassurance, slow introductions, and plenty of one-on-one attention. We get to know their personality, their favorite comforts, and what helps them feel safe and happy.

After a visit or two, most dogs start to realize Furbabies is a fun, safe place to be. They recognize familiar faces, wag their tails when they arrive, and start to see us as their second home. Our goal is to make every stay positive, loving, and stress-free.

Crates are available upon request. We believe crate training is a powerful tool used to keep dogs safe, comfortable, and relaxed. They give each pup a quiet space to rest and recharge, especially in a busy environment with lots of excitement and activity.

The health and safety of every dog in our care is our top priority.

If a dog shows signs of illness, such as vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, lethargy, loss of appetite:

1. We separate them immediately from group play or shared areas to rest in a clean, quiet space.
2. Monitor their condition closely and document any changes or symptoms.
3. Notify the owner right away to discuss what we’re seeing and determine next steps.
4. Seek veterinary care if symptoms are concerning or if the owner cannot be reached quickly.

Please text us to notify of your return time and schedule a bath in advance!  Your pup will get stinky and dirty playing outside with the others and we always recommend a bath and brushout before leaving! Bath cost $40 and up.
